The museum is a vibrant meeting place that annually welcomes around 400,000 visitors and offers experiences that inspire both children and adults to help shape the future. The Technical Museum is also active through initiatives like Technical on Tour and operations in Hagastaden and Tensta, and was awarded Museum of the Year in Sweden 2025.

Who we are looking for:
Explainer

Your tasks:
- Meet and welcome visitors in the museum's exhibitions
- Conduct tours, demonstrations, and simple experiments
- Staff the entrance and shop as needed
- Answer questions, solve problems, and guide visitors through the museum's experiences
- Contribute to a safe, inspiring, and positive visitor experience
- Primarily work evenings, weekends, and during holidays

Requirements:
- Good professional Swedish (can independently handle most work-related situations)
- English at an intermediate level (can participate in simple conversations and answer common questions)
- Interest in technology, science, or learning
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends

Meritorious:
- Additional language skills
- Experience in service, pedagogy, or public activities

Your profile:
- Positive, engaged, and proactive in meeting people
- Thrives in a dynamic environment with varying pace
- Can make quick decisions and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Interested in developing within pedagogy, communication, and service

What the employer offers:
- Desired start date: June 1, 2026 (6 months probationary employment)
- Part-time employment (20 %)
- Working hours: early mornings, evenings, weekends
- Salary according to agreement, depending on experience and in accordance with collective agreements
- Subsidized lunch or meal compensation
- Work clothes or uniform

Important:
This position is part of a project co-financed by the European Union through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). The project aims to support newly arrived third-country nationals in establishing themselves in the Swedish labor market. Candidates belonging to the target group are encouraged to apply.
